This particular hotel renovation was undertaken for the Gwa’sala-‘Nakwaxda’xw Nations; interior design work strongly incorporated their indigenous identity; both the interior and exterior of the building use locally sourced materials. The exterior facade walls of the pair of exit stairwells still await the initially proposed indigenous art for which they were intended.
